My brother has just bought an Alienware (the swine) and I have always built and maintained my own systems, so naturally im looking for a way to out perform his new system for half the price :) Quick query is "Will running a dual cpu system have an increased performance on games? Or am i better to look down the dual SLI PCI-express route"

    Any help appreciated!

post his specs and then we can help. dual cpus usually do not offer the best performance for the dollar. you get somewhere around 50% speed increase.

    I think hes getting a P3 3.04 extreme edition chip with a pci-express nvidia 6800GT and 2 gig of DDR2 memory. I run a hardmodded 2500+ to 3200+ Barton with 1 gig of GEIL DDR400 mem and a Radeon 9800XT.

Am i riught in thinking that AMD boards do not currently support PCI-express? Anyway gotta go to work now :-( Cheers for your help fellas
