I reciently set up a dual monitor system. I have always wondered something. When ever I have a window open on my main monitor and I try to play a game the system puts the game on the main monitor and moves like half of the other window to the other monitor. How to I get other windows to stay out when I want to play a game. Say on one moniitor I want to play a game but on the other one I want to see security cameras. thanks

As it is right now, you don't really.

What actually happens is when you open the game the resolution changes. In most cases main menus for games are something like 640x480. So this causes the monitors to not line up properly and thus the jumping windows.

Now there isn't really a way to solve the jumping windows. You can work with the jumping windows though. For example, if you know the windows going to jump to the right, simply move it to the left (possible off the screen) and that when when you start the game it will jump back to the right and be viewable.

It doesn't offer a fix for this, but it is something he's trying to fix. He's also seeing if there is some way to make it possible to use the other monitors without having to close a game (the other most common dual monitor problem). So even if that program never manages it, right now that is still the best site out for trying to find work arounds for dual displays. It's amazing how hard it can be to find quality dual display information. Also, it's smart task bar is a really nice feature.
