I have a Nvida GeForce Ti 4200 graphics card. It only has the one monitor connection, but has a TV out (s-video?it's round) and a strange squarish input (no idea what it is). There are also 2 different plugs in the back that aren't part of the graphics card, they are shaped like the monitor plugs (male part) only with 9 pins. The one is labeled I0I0I , and the other is labeled I0I0I/[monitor symbol].

I realize I sound like a moron, because I don't know the names of these different plugs, sorry...

I just want to know if I can hook up dual monitors without installing another card. Is there an adaptor that I could use to hook to either the S-video, the other plug on the graphics card, or the other things?

Sorry it's so vague, I'll try to get a picture of the back of my tower posted if what I typed isn't helpful.

does anyone know? I ordered a part online for 3$ that should allow dual monitors. Its a Tripp Lite Dvi To Vga Adapter Analog Dvi-m, I think it will work. Anyone know for sure?

The 2 in the picture are serial ports, not going to work for video.

The other pic of the video card shows what most cards have, 2 outputs, your plugged into one, just plug a dvi cable into the other, its that easy. You can configure from the control panel. Lots of cards have a blue and white (your probably plugged into the blue now) for analog and white for digitial. You dont need parts, just another cable and monitor.

    That cover it?

In the link of your previous post, Picture "MyPicture006" Shows a DVI port next to Svideo & VGA "the vga is where your monitor is pluged now"

If this is your Video card, yes you do have DVI port.
And Yes, a DVI to VGA adaptor will work.

    I, myself uses one!
    Dual Monitors ROCK!
