    I currently have a amd 3000+ 400 fsb

If I buy a pentium dual mobo, and have to 2 3 ghz processors in there, can I really tell the difference, is it worth it, and is there any downfall on having dual mobos?

Thanks for your help in advancE!

the benefits of dual processing can only be found if you have programs specifically designed for dual processing (eg premiere, autocad, flaskmpeg, folding@home, etc). otherwise, it's an absolute waste of money, and your computer will be just as fast if you get a single 3ghz proc with hyperthreading.

imo, dual procs are a big waste of money unless i'm running a heady server, whcih i don't
