Dual Processor

    hey, im looking into Dual Processors and was wundering wut yall would recomend, something thats good but not zomg super good that would bankrupt me would be nice :)

    Could you be more specific in terms of price range??
    Right now the two main dual core processors are Intel's Conroe, or AMD's X2
    Prices vary greatly though

    ok, scratch wut i said, what would you say would be the best thing for me to upgrade, here is wut i have

    Intel P4 2.4 ghz
    Nvidia Geforce 6600
    2.25ghz of ram
    120 gb hard drive
    windows xp pro

    anything up to about $200 unless its a video card then i can go more.

    yes i want to game with it, that and autocad is the primary things ill be doing

    if you're going to upgrade to a dual core you'll have to pretty much buy a whole new system: motherboard, processor, RAM. For now tho i would upgrade the video cardto something like a 7900gt which can be bought for around, probably a little over, $200. That is, if you have a PCI-Express slot...
