I only use it when i am reinstalling windows due to the fact that windows 7 does not have wifi drivers.

    @Replicator
It's better in support of MajorGeeks to always, whenever possible, recommend tools hosted on Major Geeks as they have been tested for safety and actual use:
    http://www.majorgeeks.com/mg/sortname/driver_updaters.html
The three most recommended tools that work fully on Windows 7 from that list above are:
    Driver Booster from IoBit
    Driver Talent
    Driver Easy

There is NO download link for 'Driver Turbo' anywhere on the MG site under ANY of the four Driver related or other system tool download links.
So, that program is not hosted on Major Geeks and there is no download link for it. If there was you would not have given an external website link.
It is standard practice to link to MG hosted programs - where at all possible - and that is not one of them.

In a general search for 'Driver Turbo' there is only an ADVERT for it via a third party website. It is not hosted on MG so has not been tested for safety and security or how it works. That's why we recommend MG hosted programs whenever possible. Anything else risks being treated as 'spam'.

    Spam ads on MG's hey?........mmmmmm!

I dont think so, I reckon Tim would well scrutinize what his site is advertising. especially linking it to members.

Your pissed cause you havent tested it, and dont really know for sure do ya!

Have a good day though buddy!

All MG hosted programs have an MG download link.
It is the owners of MG who test programs every day.
If we all had to do that for any program we needed, there would be no point visiting Major Geeks! Sorry you don't get that. ;)

No probs dude, Im just a little insulted that you think i would recommend anything to a member that i hadnt tested myself, thats all!

Worked a treat with my fresh 7 virtual install, got all I needed. :)

There are dozens of tested driver update programs hosted on Major Geeks that have been tested for safety and security and how they work.
That's why we recommend them to people seeking help.
If simply explaining something to you is insulting then that's a bit odd.
If you want to contact the developers of 'Driver Turbo' and suggest to them they submit their software to MG for testing and hosting that would be a good and very sensible and obvious thing for you to do.

    Ok mate, you win......I regress!

I promise to behave, and tow the line, and not link anyone to spamware soft links!

Driver Turbo would probably welcome you asking them to host on MG. If their product tests well they would benefit.

A good suggestion but I aint got the time for that shit......I only care about what works for me, and if it can help someone else!

    Cheers o_O

I'm sure when it is properly tested on more than just one single system it will be good to see if it passes. And a 30 second email to the developer would help everyone.

I have now tested that program you linked to in post #4
I had to run it in a Sandbox as it was immediately flagged as dangerous by Comodo and Malwarebytes - both flagged it as dangerous for trying to install Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs).
When I ran a scan on Virustotal it found 5 major malware websites rating it as dangerous with 141 instances of risk.
Now there is a possibility they are false positives but I'm not interested in taking that risk and not prepared to recommend it to anyone posting here.
I went ahead and tested it anyway, and unlike any of the three recommended Driver Updaters hosted on MG that I referred to in post #5, it seemed to find 10 required updates. That program mentioned nothing about whether those updates were 'stable' or 'latest release' or had any warning about 'If your system is working fine don't update drivers' which is a standard warning now because unneeded updates can crash a system.
I will never ever recommend that program even to my worst enemy.
That is why programs hosted on Major Geeks are so popular - precisely because the site Owners fully test anything before hosting it here. We trust those Owners.

And I suggest you watch this video by the co-owner Tim about how MG protects people with the programs it hosts. I think you'll understand better then why helpers here don't just link to any old software even if it worked for us personally.

I use Driver Booster 4.5 from iobit Been using iobit product's since the first beta and never have had an issue with it.

I am all so a tester for iobit and it's a safe product for many years now.

I all so don't know i how in the world i setup the dual band wireless.I was doing some crazy editing in my group policy editor. And that may have caused my system to bug or whater to use both my Wifi on laptop and my Belkin USB Wireless Adapter at the same time.Since than i rebooted my laptop be cause it was acting funky have no clue why.

But now i just use the wifi on laptop as a source.

The only time i use the Belkin USB Wireless Adapter is when i reinstall windows be cause my laptop does not have the correct files needed for windows 7 wireless.

I use the driver booster 4 be cause i get unlimited driver downloads be cause i was a beta tester.

Cool....yeh, beta testing has its benefits!

Maybe you inadvertently created 2 network adaptors virtually within the policy editor, that were showing??

What do you mean by wifi on the laptop (assuming its without using the adaptor)......is that the local phone network on wireless or another modem usage?
