Duel boot probs, help please

    Hi all, ok here it is, please help if you can... Acer laptop with Media center cant network it so being a smart arse thought ok, partition hard drive install xp pro have a duel boot system. Well I felt all smug until I needed to install the drivers for the video, lan, wireless, sound, etc is there an easy way to do this? Could I just copy them from the fully functioning Media center partition. If so where are they hiding. Any help gratefully received.

    If you have the driver installation files somewhere on your hard drive and they're the right drivers for Win XP, then you could use that to install the drivers. Otherwise, you'll need to download them.

    Visit Acer's website. They should have most, if not all, the drivers you need.

    To pluck all the drivers (usually I stick to non-Microsoft) from a computer before I start messing around with it, I use a program call WinDriversBackup by JerMar. At one time, it was free. It has now been replaced by something called DriversGuide Toolkit which is a paid program.
    If you do some searching, you may be able to find the free WinDriversBackup, v1.0.9 which is the last free version.

    Many thanks guys, i am trying to source the free version of WinDriversBackup, v1.0.9 but it looks like I may have to part with a little cash, which if it sorts me out , will be worth it. Once again thanks. Marsh
