Hi everyone. I have a couple of questions .

    #1)
Can I have some advice on what program is the Best and quickest to learn & to use to find duplicate files? Across several HDD.(Three to be exact.)

I have read all the old recommendations here in the forum.
And I know all the risks.

    #2)

I want to move all my data off of one HDD after I eliminate all the duplicate files. (There is a corupt install of WinXP Pro on that.)

After I do that I have one other HDD that is Fat32.(All others are NTFS.)(It also has a old instal of WinXP Pro)
I know winxp can convert the FAT32 to NTFS. But does that leave all of your data unseable or not? and what instructions could I get on doing this conversion?

I am running in a "Pre invoiorment " so I can wipe the one WD HDD and put all data on that freshly wiped drive. Then I will wipe the newest SATA HDD and do a Fresh install of Winxp Pro /sp2.
I do have my CD for any reinstall I want to do for the Op system.

    Quick System Spec's
    Winxp pro /wsp2
Intell Pentium 4 865PE Chipset based Board
    865PE Neo2-P
    478 Socket
    MSI Mother board
    2 gig of memory
    1 SATA WD HDD
    2 IDE WD HHS
    2 cd/dvd's

I can give more detail if needed.

    Thanks so much.

Ps ..maybe that is more than a couple of questions?:confused

    And TIA

Yes, you can convert FAT to NTFS without losing any data or programs. And here's the how-to: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307881/en-us
As for your file duplicate finding software; one is just as good as the other I suppose... I was in a similar spot (3 external hard drives, and the internal in my PC) and I had folders for video, music, etc on each drive, and each folder was different. I used a multi-paned explorer to get 'em sync'ed up. It probably wasn't the easiest or fastest way to do it, but now I know EXACTLY what's in each folder. I now use File Commander for all my folder comparison work. It's free from http://www.godlikesoft.de/html/products_overview.html I like it. It's the easiest 'commander' type of util I've found. I also like Explorer2Lite http://zabkat.com/x2lite.htm Check 'em out. For sync-ing, try SyncToy from Microsoft (yes, Microsoft) http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...54-C975-4814-9649-CCE41AF06EB7&displaylang=en That should get you started ;)
