All three are listed as freeware. Why do you say they're not free?

Hi there, they say freeware ,but its only a trial version that only does a little just to show you how the program works. then at the end of short scan , they prompt you to buy the program. Thanks Marcel

I just installed and ran duplicate cleaner and it did not prompt me to buy it. Which one are you using.

marcel, I don't think you downloaded from the MajorGeek's download link because all three are free not trialware. I even went to the authors pages and the programs are still free as listed on those sites.

Your right I downloaded duplicate claener just fine. I must of kept trying to download the advertizments .that was not very smart of myself. Thanks and any tips before i run this program to eliminate duplicate photos.I don,t want to lose any photos that are important to me and there are just to many to back up my files and photos?

Any automated deletion process can and will make errors. Since these pics are important to you, you should have at least one backup set (a hard drive can fail at any time). Actually, I recommend two backups: one to a CD/DVD or second hard drive, the other to a online storage facility like PhotoBucket. Until you get at least one good backup made I would not suggest running Duplicate Cleaner. Good luck.:)

FYI - I just downloaded and ran 'Easy Duplicate File Finder', after scanning for files, in order to delete them it wanted me to pay.

    Just letting people know.

Hi...yes. It's considered Shareware. If you look at the "License" up top on the download page, you'll see if something is free or not. If it says Freeware or Ad Supported, it's free.
