DVD and regional settings

Hi guys and gals

I just purchased a new laptop. I do a fair bit of extended travelling so of course I also use it to watch DVD's. I brought some with us on our trip to the UK and a couple of days ago we rented some for the kids.

Well unknown to me I did not realize and of course the kids did not know that you can not switch dvd regions 5 times. I merely though it was the software asking where I was so it knew what decoder to use.and/or I thought it was the trimmed down version of the DVD player that was doing it and it wanted me to purchase a full version.

Well I have now discovered that the DVD will only let me change or watch DVDs from different regions 5 times before it locks on to the last one. Well that's what happened the kids put in the rented flick and now we are locked into europe and can't watch our NA DVD's.

Can someone tell me how to reset or change the regional settings in order to watch my NA DvDs? let me switch back and forth so when I travel i can rent dvds fromt that region.

I would imagine there is a setting somewhere in the menu. Maybe on the DVD player?
