DVD authoring software...

I'm looking for some good software to take a compilation of video clips, and burn them as a DVD with a menu I can play on a DVD player. I need it to either be compatible with a wide variety of formats (WMV,AVI, DVD, OGM, etc), or get updates from the parent company that keeps it compatible with the newest formats. Can anyone recommend a program like that? It can be freeware, but I'm willing to pay for it if it's worth the money.

 

I am usually pretty good with freeware alternatives, but this this I have to say Nero Vision .. it will encode the video and the menu builder is pretty good too.. it is a good all in one option.
