I have an older PC and want to install a DVD burner to make back-ups of all my stuff.
Do you know of any models that will function with my Celeron 697 MHz (320MB of RAM)? I have 100's of GB of free space on the HDD and am running XP Home Edition.

It is not the burner that will be the problem, but the DVD Burning software that will cause you problems.

I guess I'll go over to the software forum for help.

And the Software forum will state the same thing. You can install the DVD burner, but the software will not work due to 1) Your machine is below the software spec's, and 2) Most burner software such as Nero is now meant for more modern processors.
