A friend of mine helped me departitionate and rename hard drive, DVD player and DVD burner. It was c: d: e: for my hard-drive , f: for my player and g: for my burner. It becomes c: (HD) d: (player) e: (burner). The problem is i cant access my DVD burner anymore, it can read cd, but nothing more, it appears in my system info.... What to do? Help me, thx

You are saying that you can read CD... but with which drive? Can you read it with the CD player or with the DVD player.
If you can read´em on your DVD player, something may have gone wrong at some point and you´ll need to re-install the DVD player drivers. Also in this case it makes perfect sense that the driver appears on your system info.
If you can also Watch a DVD movie or read a Data DVD, but what you cannot do is burn a DVD, try taking a look at the configuration on the program you use for burning purposes, although it should recognize which of your drives is a burner, the problem could be here, if so try to change the default burner drive and if you can´t re-install the software.

    Hope it was helpful

Sorry, which software are you using to burn your dvd´s?
Because all I can think of is that the software didn´t refresh the drive with which you´re burning.
Perhaps it sounds stupid, but if your physical drive changed its logical drive reference from g: to e: and the software still believes that the device is in the g drive, you´re screwed. With many applications you can set the devices correctly from the menus and quite easily, but with others perhaps it´s a little bit harder (off course the easiest way to perform this task is by re-installing the software). For instance if you´re using the Windows InCD, I have no idea how this is done.
But maybe your problem is a little trickier and I am thinking too basically...
    Hope I was helpful.

    Welcome to Major Geeks

yorsh could be on the right track
assuming you have the software necessary,
uninstal / reinstal your dvd burning software.
