DVD Burner

I have recently purchased an external HP DVD burner that came with the Nero software suite. Once installed I selected the video files that I wanted to burn to DVD. After THREE hours of transcoding it causes an error that it does not support this disc type (DVD +R) and then ejects the disc. Any advice what is wrong, shouldn’t this disc type be supported???

 

I can relate, I also have a "+" DVD burner abd gave up on Nero since they have decided to try to be an Operating system instead of what the got famous for. I have been using a couple of programs and have had no problems with them, first is ashampoo burning suite available here at MG http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4851

Now I have gotten into a habit of checking my e-mail every morning then coming straight to MG to see whats new here, and if I had to guess, I would say that 90% of the software on my computer has been downloaded from here! And there is a good reason for that, if it is crap software it wont survive here very long! This is the hardest crowd to win over there is in the computer world, so if it's here its good, if it has a [Hot] icon next to it then it's great, if it has a [Pick] icon next to it then bet on it!
