I am trying to down load DVD burning free software but having problems, when I try to down load it downloads lots of other tool bars and mal-ware scanning software but not the DVD burning software.
    Can you recommend anything?

    Hello,

I like CDBurnerXP and BurnAware Free. Both are free, good and easy to use.

Note: BurnAware Free will offer to install AVG Security Toolbar, just make sure to tick this option off during Setup and will be all fine. Don't let this put you off, it's a great DVD burning software.

    Download Links (from official websites):

    BurnAware Free: http://www.burnaware.com/downloads/burnaware_free.exe

    CDBurnerXP:

    64bit: http://cdburnerxp.se/downloadsetup.exe?x64

JonnyBB878 recommended CDBurnerXP which I used to use but had problems if there were errors during verification of the burn — the app would freeze up and had to be killed with Task Manager. I now use Ashampoo Burning Studio 6 and have had no such problems.

Where are you trying to download these programs from?
What are you trying to download so we can find a site that does not include garbage in the downloads (CNet is one site to avoid)?

Do either of these programs work with Windows 8? I've used CDBurnerXP in the past and liked it.

Sorry about that :) Thought it would be better to give the OP direct links.

I'll post MG links from now on ;)

I have down loaded both (CDBurnerXP and BurnAware Free.) software but i was not able to use them because it does not give me any instruction how I can copy one of my dvd .

Last time when I use the software it just told me to put source location and destination location and then click burn and it copied the dvd.

The freeware version of BurnAware doesn't support copying disks (see attachment 1).

CDBurnerXP does. You'd select your source disk and your destination disk (see 2 attachments).

The Ashampoo Burning Studio I suggested also supports disk copying (see attached).
