I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop. 2 1/2 years old with re-writeable CD/DVD drive. The CD/DVD drive will work if you are inserting a factory software installation disk or a movie DVD. However, if someone sends me a CD with some image files on it, the drive doesn't even see the disk in the drive. It also will not "burn" a CD or a movie.

Anyone have any ideas why or how to fix or does the drive need to be replaced?
