*.dvd convert to

hi,

Im currently using sonic digital media v7. I have used the feature called "create a project".

It works fine, iv added my slideshows, video, audio and even some fading effects to it. I havent compeletly yet mastered its full potential but have managed to create a project which meets my required standards.

The problem begins when i try to burn the project to a DVD (4.7GB) using this facility. It does everything accordingly but then as it is "building movies" it unexpectedly crashes the whole software.

I thought it was an error with the software itself and as it came already installed on to my laptop i had no cds to reinstall the software but instead i purchased a updated version of the software called "Roxio MyDVD Premier 8".

The problem here occured as soon as i realised that the project i had created on the older version was not even supported by the newer version. (does not support the *.dvd file extention)


I still have the older and newer version both installed onto the hard drive and would like any advice on how to simply go burning the project on to a dvd disc either by learning how to convert the file extention to a format which the newer version supports or using the older version to directly burn the project.
