hey, ive been copying dvds for awhile now, i dont do it every night, maybe 4 per month. im wondering how legal is it? i heard somewhere thats its only ILLEGAL if you copy it and sell it. is this true? because i never sell them. i just copy for my own use. so is it legal or isnt it? thanks! -JarFark

I think it is pretty standard all over. If you own the dvd/game you can back it up. You can't hire & copy.

Hipster is correct... if you own the DVD then under some countries law you have the right to make a backup of that disk for PERSONAL USE and so long as you are not selling them on the side also.

as you dont own the DVD are are hireing them then copying them then that is illegal even if its for your own personal use.
