dvd decryptor?????

can someone help? i have been using it for some time now and all of a sudden i cannot burn dvd's after i use shrink. i get a message that states that device not ready medium not present tray is closed. can someone explain to me what this may mean and how can i fix it? thanks

 

Hi there to me sounds like that your dvd might be burnt out as they do not last for ever and a dvd burner is only ment to last 100 to 1000 burns before the red sapphire dies out, in a Blu-ray burner it has a blue sapphire I do not know the estimated burn out time is for them yet.

But it might be a software problem as well if you have add new software it might have clashed with that program.

I don't know if this will help, but I always use Decrypter first and then shrink. Also there is a new version of Decrypter out that you can download from their site.Use the link in your software.

 

"Medium not present" indicates that the drive is not detecting a blank disc. Ensure that you have an unused disc in the drive.

It COULD be your drive dying, but it is just as possible that the lens is dirty. I would try investing in a DVD compatible cleaning disc, and running it before jumping to the drive is no longer functional. You can often get months more use out of your devices if you ensure the lens is clean, and reading data without error.
