DVD doesn't work anymore in WinXP

I have a cicero system,
pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40ghz, 480mb of RAM
Microsoft Windows xp, Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 1
Its has DVD-ROM & CD-RW 40*12
My DVD-ROM is not working properly.
1, when I insert a copy disk movie or
or music cd is working properly or any other media disk...

2, the DVD-ROM does not work when I insert a real DVD movie,
but copied disk media does work.. except dvd movie disk.. or Game
softwares.. except dvd movie disk..
I tried DVD troubleshooter, asking me to run the dvd media disk. manualy
from Windows Media Players. it does not work also.. again.. disk media disk
works and music disk..I tried another options.. asking me to have a DVD
decoder but likely thats not the case... because i have play DVD movies in
this system for a million times, and it works fine.. I am sure its not a
virus or so because again.. there is not other problems in this system
except the dvd-rom Player..

 

What DVD decoder are you using?

 

I don't know. I gues what ever came with my computer. WinDVD MSPlayer etc. I stress that it was working fine before.

 

When it comes to software, it doesn't matter if it was working 5 minutes ago, unfortunately.

Software breaks all the time. Have you tried reinstalling WinDVD?

XP does not support DVD movies without the help of third party software.
