dvd drive acting weird

Hello,
recently my DVD drive's been acting strange, every time I put a disc in to burn something I get a buffer under run error's or blank check errors. For a while if I kept putting the disc back in, eventually it would burn but now it just won't. The buffer under run error say's to try a lower speed but I'm burning things at 4 speed and can't go any lower. Does anyone know how to fix this or is my DVD drive broke. Any help would be great.

What DVD drive do you have?

Have you tried using different media and different brands?

 

I've got a Pioneer dvd-rw Dvr 108 drive, I've also tried different discs but still get the same messages.

Can you try a different DVD drive in your computer? This one could've just come to the end of it's life...

 

It could also be a firmware issue. (Regarding media etc) See your other post which I've replied to.
