i created a DVD with DVD flick from an AVI file and for some reason it shows a very fast pause every 2 secs at the start of the DVD, also in a few fast moving scenes it seems to really slow to a slide show.

the dvd has been played on 3 different players and all show the same, the AVI file plays flawless. The process was set to normal encoding but with a high service priority.

Any ideas? i will try burning another disk soon but just wanted to check if it was something i did.

    thanks guys

LOL Not really... at $12 per 50, it's only about .24 cents US for a blank DVD. The 'cost' is the wasted time... at 60min or more, having a bad burn is a drag... some files are not happy with all converters. I used DVDflick for a long time and rarely had problems, but on the rare occasion that I did have a bad burn, either lowering the burn speed or using Nero (or something else) to burn the final converted movie would usually work. Alternatively, you can try using FAVC; it's another freeware program that converts files to the standard DVD file structure and format. Then burn the resulting files with Nero (or BurnAware or AShampoo Burning Studio 2009 - both are free).

    :-D

Well, I know they used to be called expensive coasters. LOL.

Which led up to the obvious -- a dead hard drive is an "expensive paperweight." I made this up myself but then when I googled it I got some stuff about dead hard drives and optical drives and stuff. :confused

what are the specs of the computer you are converting on? You could have some background programs causing the computer to interrupt the conversion

    Hi

Set encoding to Below Normal, and burn at 2x, ISO files at times and many burning applications dont like certain brands of disks.
