DvD Help

hi can you help.
ive downloaded some movies using BitComet and i understand how to then transfer it to windows media player but when i try to put it on to disk it will not let me, it just says please insert disk have you any ideas what i can do ?confused

 

Are you saying you're trying to use Media player to burn videos onto DVD ?
I'm not sure if it'll do that. I know there's a more recent version of Windows Media Player than the one I use (version 10) but I heard some bad things about 11 and didn't fancy using it.
Media Player will burn music CDs, but as for DVDs, I'd be surprised if it can do that.
Do you want to burn DVDs that will play on a standalone DVD player, or just the computer ?

 

I'm in the same boat here... WMP will not burn DVD's, just audio CD's. If you're getting msgs saying 'Insert Disc', you may be using blank discs that are not a recognized format to your DVD burner... I've had problems with some generic DVD's not being recognized....

You'd need DVD authoring software like, Nero, Adobe Premiere Elements, TMPGEnc DVD Author, DVDAuthorgui, Ulead DVD Workshop 2.0, DVD Architect, Ulead DVD MovieFactory 3, Broderbund Movie Shop.
Premiere Elements is one I use most often. Version 2 is good, and there's usually a few on eBay at bargain prices.
