dvd media player needed

I use zoomplayer as my primary but noticed the free version (standard) doesn't allow the playing of dvd's from my disc drive. Am i doing something wrong? If not what is a good choice for only this function, or hell one that does play movies on my hd and from my disc drive better than zoomplayer would.
I have been using wmp and nero's player but hate wmp controls and nero, well, I am just not sure how good it really is working. It looks good but who knows?

I recently got PowerDVD, and it is a good choice for playing DVD's, it cost $34.95 though, but i think its worth it, there are many different options you can do. Next is a free version..its called VLC Media Player..http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

It is free to use, i used this one before also. Nice and easy way of watching a DVD.

 

We also have VLC HERE, like we do most programs.

 

I've never noticed any quality problems with Nero's Showtime. It's worked as well as any I've used. But VLC is an excellent and free alternative.
