I may be missing something, but I can't believe I can not view a rental DVD on my new NEC internal DVD-RW. Do I need a decoder or does Windows XP come with one? If not, is there a free one on this sight? Thanks

Hmmm... it may a DRM thing (Digital Rights Management). Or, it may just be a codec thing. Try this: http://www.majorgeeks.com/MPlayer_d5663.html It's from today's Major Geeks front page, it's free, and it plays just about everything!!! If not, check the MultiMedia section here at MajorGeeks and I'm sure you'll find something. If nothing will play it, visit NEC's help/support page at their web site; your DVDRW may need a firmware upgrade.... What happens when you insert the movie? Any errors? If you open My Computer and insert the movie, does the DVDRW icon change???

Thanks for your response, it works now, but I do have a little jerk in the video. Do you think that is my video card limitation?
