DVD plays only once

Hi
I have a strange problem. The disc I burnt with DVDflick won't play more than once in my laptop. It's a DVD+R burnt on the laptop. It works on the DVD player but comes to a halt on the laptop at different places and then refuses to play again.
Any ideas?

If this is for a computer then sounds like a codec problem.

You will be able to play DVDs in your wmp.Uninstall any other codec pack be for this one.

 

How old is the laptop? While most DVD player/recorders built after 2008 (I think) have no problems reading from DVD+ format, some older ones have issues with it. Odds are that isn't what the issue is since you burned the DVD with that drive, but it is something to check. I ran into that once on an old desktop, but the DVD Rom it had was pretty old.

Since the DVD will play on your DVD player with no issue, then the culprit would seem to be the DVD drive on your laptop. You might try a cleaning, if it hasn't been done for a while. One of those CD cleaning disks will work, if you have one. Worth a try.

Another issue I have had that I've never heard of before is one desktop I have will burn DVD's like a champ, but when I go to play back that same DVD on the same computer, it has all kinds of issues - mostly audio distortion, but some video glitches too. But, that DVD will play FINE on another computer, or on a regular DVD player. I have NO idea what could cause this. Very weird thing.

 

Hmm i did not think of dust on the eye may be a good cleaning will do you can either go and get a Cd lens cleaner disk there only like 10 or 20$.

I find that if people are using K-light codec pack it seems that it does not work on playing dvds.
