DVD Problem

    I have a Acer Aspire9300 laptop and I started getting "grid"lines everytime I try to play a dvd. I also get these lines whenever I download something on divx. I cleaned the lens on my dvd, but it did not help.
    I would really appreciate any ideas you might have. I have been trying to solve this problem for about 6 weeks.
