DVD problem

Ok, I feel stupid for even asking, but I'm having trouble with my DVD-RW ROM. I have a DVD-R disc that I created backing up documents from my laptop that crashed. I've had it in the disc drive since I created it, using it periodically to access those things that I needed. It was just fine, but now all of a sudden, when I try to open the disc, it shows that it's blank and ready for me to drag files to the disc to burn. I put a different disc in to be sure it wasn't the device itself messing up, and that one opened up fine. What the heck happened?! :cry

 

Possible thinking of me your dvd - r disk is dead !! :wave

 

How does that happen?! :confused

 

Try the disc in a different computer, check the properties. You'll soon see if its dead..
