DVD-R vs DVD-RW

    Can a DVD-R ever be used as a multisession disc or does it have to be a DVD-RW? I am just getting into copying pictures on DVD media. I discovered I needed a software better than the Win-XP, DVD rom that came with the computer. I am trying Express Burn but it closes out the DVD-R so I can't add any files after it has put files on the first time. Where can I go to learn more about DVD burning?

    Yes a DVD-R can be used as a multisession disc if you use roxio easy media creator or nero to burn them.
