dvd ripping software

ok guys improbably pushing it here with my expectations for a freeware app but if theres anywhere it can be found im sure its here

im putting together a compilation dvd for my older brother which will consist of different dvds,however what i want to do is rip only certain chapters from the dvd s

i.e
dvd 1 (chapters 2,5,7)
dvd 2 (chapters 5,1,9)

and so on ,


any ideas be great
