Hey, I am looking for a good dvd ripping program. I have a PC and not a Mac so I can't use any programs for Mac. I already have DVD Fab and it doesn't do what I want (there are a lot of problems with the rips). I want a program where I can have high quality picture and sound with the rip being around 1 to 2 gb.

DVD ripping is a touchy subject on this board because of the legal issues. More than likely your not going to get any answer at all about it.

I use Handbrake for re-encoding and AnyDVD to deal with copy protection. You should be able to just rip (without re-encoding) your DVDs to your hard drive with DVD Fab also if you don't want to spend any more money for an AnyDVD license after the 21 day trial, for re-encoding with Handbrake. Also, I've installed but haven't yet tried out VidCoder, which uses Handbrake's internal encoder and seems to have a few more output options.
