Dvd-rw Drive Not Recognizing Blank Disks

It'll read disks with things already on them, and it worked just fine in the past. but I went to burn some home movies onto a DVD for a friend, but, my computer's not detecting them. I've already tried pretty much every solution out there outside of buying a separate dvd burner. (Making sure Autoplay's enabled, going into regedit to delete upper/lower filter, neither of which were actually there, is that just a windows 10 thing or was that just what my problem is? Anyway, re-installing the drivers for it etc, trying a couple different burner software etc.)

yeah it did, I'm pretty sure it was while I was still running Windows 7 though.

As per this site, your drive supports Windows XP, Vista & 7, and can write HD-DVD, not DVD.

odd, I used normal DVDs before. Ah well, I'll see if I can find a relatively inexpensive external DVD burner on my way home from work tonight, Thanks for the help!

That drive seems to be an old combo drive.

 

yeah it is, I'm hoping to save up for a new computer in the near future, anyway, no worries and thanks again ^^
