Dvd Santa keeps locking up my computer.

Everytime I try and decode a movie using dvd santa, my computer locks up. I have the K-lite codec pack, can anyone think of a reason why this may be happening? Thank you in advance.

Thank you for the link, but I've tried them all and none of them work as good as Dvd santa. It used to work just fine, so that makes me think something is wrong with my compuetr's software. But thanks again for your response.

Do you know approximately when it stopped working? You could try doing a system restore to a point when it used to work properly. Also, often times removing & re-installing software can fix issues.

Does it lock up your computer to the point where nothing works...not even the mouse, or ctrl-alt-delete, or even the power button? If so, it may indicate a hardware issue such as mobo or RAM more than anything.

 

Yes it locks up everything including the mouse. I have tried to reinstall the prog with no luck. How can I check if my memory is bad?
