DVD Shrink 3.2

After reviewing 39 threads on the software forum and downloading the newest version DVD Shrink 3.2.15 I'm still having a problem. On some of the newer DVD's, for example XXX state of the union, when I try to open the DVD with the shrink program it gets to about 13% and the program stops responding. Are the manufacturers on to my game and coding these new DVD's differently? I came acrossed a web page while searching for the newest shrink program that mentioned something about ripping and saving and ISO something or other but I have no idea what this means. Any ideas on what I can try when I run into these problems going forward?

Rip it to your hard drive as a file (not an ISO)with DVD Decrypter (find it here if you don't have it) or DVDFab Decrypter (here) and run that file through DVD Shrink. DVD Shrink doesn't handle some of the newer DVDs as it hasn't been updated in over a year. Rumor has it he is now an Ahead employee and made Nero Recode for them.

 

No, I'm not pirating......I have no desire to spend time in a federal prison. These DVD's are for my own personal use.
