dvd shrink

I use dvd shrink to make a backup copy of my dvd's .with nero it burns them automatically after I click backup , well all of a sudden it does not do that anymore it will only put it in a file , checked all my settings and it doesnt look like I can even enable to burn with nero . tried using a newer version of nero ( nero 8 demo ) and the same thing , tried to unistall shrink and reinstall and no help ,I know you can burn the disk from the files but I am not real good with it and havent gotten it to work right thats why I like the auto of nero and shrink together . any ideas on what happened would be great.

 

I can't suggest what happened - but I use DVD Decryptor to import my DVDs and then use Nero to create an ISO of them for back up.

 

are you sure you haven't changed your setting to save to h/d? i use shrink alot to edit my tv shows recorded on my dvd recorder hooked up to my tv (can't edit it on my dvd recorder). i posted a screenshot below.

edit - if it's not that setting in shrink, then i have no idea what it could be. is your dvd drive working? can you burn anything else to it (ie - data stuff)? - sos

 

i am not much of a computer person but i have used dvd shrink a good couple of hundred times and have not had that problem and i just updated to nero 8 in the last month.
i have two dvd drives but always save to hard drive in a disc burning file with new folders for each movie. then after i have copied the disk to hard drive i open file with shrink then copy to disc i love the program although am finding a lot of new movies i cannot copy.

not sure if i have been helpful or rattle don about something irrelevant this is my first go at trying to help someone else
