Dvd software

I have a HP a450n, 3 ghz HT, 1 gig ram, win xp home sp2. I watch dvd movies on this pc all the time. i've recently had the movie stop playing due to the dvd player software crashing, I then get the message telling me to upgrade to their latest version for 49.99. I'm using Intervideo which came with the pc. My question, is there another free dvd player software besides windows media player I can download to watch dvd movies on my pc.

I occaionally download and install Cliprex DVD player software. This enables Windows Media Player to play DVDs.

Open dvd player looks like what you need, but there are some cool apps there, like the Movieplayer which you burn onto a dvd with the videos and movies and it autoruns a menu to play them when you insert the dvd. There are 325 pages to look thru if your curious.
