I have a strange problem in that windows 7 64bit takes over 2 minutes to read the contents of dvd discs. I know this to be a windows/software/setting problem because I have my old windows 7 64bit (with the same intel chipset drivers and RST drivers on my old hard drive from an SSD upgrade) that reads discs within seconds. So far I have tried removing dvd drive from drivers and removing HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E96A-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} as there were no up(so windows would find it again an it did). Uninstalling reinstaling intel chipset and rst drivers/software wih a reboot inbetween. I have also tried a USB dvd reader that took the same amount of time to read the contents of the drive but was fast on another pc proving its some software/setting conflict on my windows. Anybody know how to fix this ?

Ohh I forgot to say that once the contents are read then the disc loads at normal speed. I know this as installing a game takes the same amount of time once the disc has had its contents read.
