My first post! Hope someone can help.

    I have a 2.8ghz intel p4 with 1 gig of ram, win XP home. I have a lite-on dvd burner SOHW-812S.

My problem is this: when I back-up a dvd movie (ex:Saving Private Ryan) it will not play in a 5 year old Toshiba DVD player in my theatre system. However, when my friend who has a similar pc ( i donr know the exact specs) backs up the same movie my home DVD player plays it.

We are both using DVD Shrink & DVD Decrypter. Although I have DVD Shrink 3.2...he is one version behind. We both use +R discs.

My main question is whether this could be a fixed by a setting or if it is a compatibility issue, in which case I will need to buy a new DVD player. Just seems odd that a DVD from his machine works, and one from mine wont. BTW, the DVD's I burn play in every other machine I have tried them in...just not mine

    Thanks for any help!!
