DVD Writer Suddenly Not Working.

    DVD Writer Suddenly Not Working.

    I have a Pioneer DVD Writer which has all of a sudden stopped working.

    I was burning a Data Disk with CD Burner XP and it was at the Disk Verify stage.

    It got to allmost 100 % and then said the disk could not be Verified as something else was using the process.

    Nothing else was so i did a reboot and now there is no Power to the drive and it is not showing up in Device manager. I am running Windows 64 Ultimate.

    Any thoughts?

    Open up the computer and change the power connector from the power supply to the drive.
