Well my friend got some DVD and he tried putting it in his CD rom drive. I told him you need a DVD player in your computer. I'm just wondering is there a way to play DVD's with a CD ROM drive? Also could someone like me extract the the movie from the dvd and burn it onto cd rom so my friend could watch it?

Think about this for a second. A CD-ROM stores 650 megabytes. A DVD stores over 4 gigabytes on the same amount of surface! That's over 7 times the amount of data on the same area. There is no physical way a CD-ROM drive not designed to read DVD's can read them.

Extract it from the DVD with your DVD drive and then cut it up with Windows Movie Maker or something... Then burn it to 7 CDs.....
