DVDs play in Activemovie Window

I'm using Media Player Classic, never had problems before. And from what I've read, its not a prob with MPC anyway. whenever I try to play a dvd, it opens a seperate Activemovie Window. I've tried disabling all but the primary video output, but that didn't help. Any ideas? When googling the problem, I read that it was likely caused by a Windows Update, but no idea which one. DVDs play fine in WMP, of course. any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

Sorry for the double post, I finally got it fixed. Maybe this will help someone else out. Apparently, the update changed some codecs, all I had to do was reinstall my codec pack, to restore my previous codecs. Hope this helps someone!
