dynamic hdd ?

    I have a HDD which is in my device manager and bios etc but not in my computer, it is classed as inactive but i can not reactivate it as it gives some weird error message about missing magic numbers although it is named as a dynamic hdd and all my other hdd are named as basic, this drive worked the other day fine but since a virus scan and qurantine mission it hasnt. do i need to change it to a basic hdd and if so how do i keep data thats on their someone please help, cheers
