Dynamic IP address problem

I have SBC DSL connection which uses Dynamic IP Address. I am networked via a Netgear Wireless Router which keeps my link alive. Periodically SBC drops the link and my router reconnects - but now I have a new IP address !

I need to connect to this PC from a remote location using the IP Address. I can do this if I know the correct IP address. But when my system's IP address changes I cannot connect to it anymore.

What I need is a means of sending (via email or another means) the new IP address to myself (automatically) so that I can connect to my system again.

    Any ideas ?

Some IM chat clients show the IP address of those on your buddy list (if the buddy allows it to be seen). You could "be your own buddy" with a second chat account at the remote location, allow your home account to be visible only to your second account, and get your dynamic IP that way. Works for me.

Thanks Doug. I'll give it a shot.
