E-mail address question - for message board users (?)

Ok, I was considering joining a certain message board which shall remain nameless at this point, but found out that it prohibits new registrations that have a Hotmail or Yahoo e-mail account because of spam/trolls/etc. Guess what? I have one of those e-mail accounts, doh! LOL

On top of that, I can't e-mail the Admin(s) because there is no general e-mail address listed on their main page or I'd fire off a message (doh!).

Does anyone know of an alternate e-mail provider out there? G-mail maybe
(heard you need an invitation though - blah)?


BTW - I can't use my ISP account e-mail addy, as I am changing that soon
(I would try to initially register with my ISP e-mail account, but I'm sure that they won't allow anyone to change their e-mail address to a Hotmail or Yahoo account after registering, so nix that idea).

How about a throw-away free webmail account with Juno or Netzero?

 

You can still register with your current I.S.P. e-mail address, even though it is changing soon, can you not?

Otherwise, there is large number of Co.'s that will give you e-mail accounts, gratis (free). Handy, if you just want to use them to register and receive on-line notifications of posts etc.

I have email accounts at: www.planet-save.com, www.ecology-fund.net, www.care2.com, www.beer.com, www.lycos.com......

There are TONS of places that offer free email addresses that aren't blocked by message boards. They're just trying to block the know spammers/trolls from going the easy way.

 

I use myway www.myway.com (and yahoo and gmail)
I've never had spam at myway after a year of using it. It's owned by Ask Jeeves. Just don't download the "my search" toolbar or whatever it is called. I use this address for contests etc so I thought there would be a lot of spam but none. Ever. My kids use it too and they don't get any either. They are increasing their free mailbox to 125MB.
