    Hi Bill

Maybe worth blocking out your email address (mspaint etc) then uploading it again, I know you have likely been through THESE steps but I'm just adding them again so I can remember also.

Bill, I've not come accross this before but I would try to start with opening OL in its safe mode and as you are on Win7, just type or paste this line into the start search box.

    outlook.exe /safe

Then see if you can add a user, also try adding it manually and info should be in the link earlier.

Thanks for the reply and deletion David.
I realized i had not blacked out my E-Mail when it was too late for edit.( i said it before that i am losing it)

I have found the problem, they are using a different e-mail sender each time so my blocker does not get activated, i suppose i will just have to keep doing a block on each e-mail until they run out of addresses to send from (just a couple of million) as i can not see any other way to block the incoming mail without affecting all my legitimate mail.

With this account i am very careful about opening things i do not know so i am a bit puzzled how they got this address ?

Why not create a filter to single out these messages and dump them? That's very easy in Outlook where such messages always contain words that identify them.

What are your settings for Junk E-mail Options? The settings are found via Actions, Junk E-mail, Junk E-mail Options. On the Options tab, you have some choices for setting the level of junk mail filtering. What is your current setting? Have you experimented with different settings?

I realise that this post may not be very helpful for those unfamiliar with Outlook rules. Rules allow you to single out messages having certain characteristics or containing certain text, which you define, and then take an action which you also define. So if these messages always have certain text in their title or body you could use that text in a rule, together with an action to Delete, or Move to Spam, etc. We use this method here to divert Groupon emails and the like into their own folders rather than Inbox. If you can't identify any text common to all of these messages then you may not be able to use this method, as the sender is using spoof addresses.

In Outlook 2007 this is found by clicking Inbox > Tools > Rules and Alerts. Click New Rule and you get this (may be different in other versions) -

You are correct is saying rules are an effective way to manage incoming messages but I believe he will not be able to effectively thwart this spam by using rules for the reason you mentioned in the text of your previous post quoted above.

As BILLMCC66 said in his second post:
And, they probably also change the subject for every message they send. So, rules won't work. I think he'll either need try setting Outlooks spam filtering to the highest level or he might try contacting his ISP and discussing the spam problem with them. Some ISPs filter out some spam; they can identify cases where a spammer is sending mail to many of their recipients; no guarantee, of course, but a phone call to the ISP may be worthwhile.

You might consider using a mail filtering program such as Mailwasher.

What about applying different logic to your incoming mail by only allowing mail from your Safe Senders List and Safe Recipients List to go into your Inbox? The settings are found via Actions, Junk E-mail, Junk E-mail Options. On the Options tab, check the radio dial for Safe Lists Only and then build your Safe Senders and Safe Recipients lists in the applicable tabs.

Thanks for the replies and info.
I have tried most of the suggestions but without success so i will give Tims Mailwasher a go.

It's a nice light program that allows you to preview your emails and delete before downloading. ;)
