E Mail Text

I use ThunderBird to Send and Get my E Mail.

As I Type Text in an E Mail then Hit the Enter Key to go down one Line it brings my text Cursor down 2. Lines.

Can anybody help me it never did this?

 

yup, that's annoying. TB has options for each account that is setup, and also global options that apply to all accounts, you might want to check in each location and uncheck : use paragraph formatting. there is also another option, somewhere, for using body text vs paragraph, since you would want to use the body text option. you could always compose emails in a text editor and just copy and paste (without formatting) i would think that would also work. i really do not know why people just can't leave well enough alone.

You can either press shift+enter to skip the empty line and keep enter for a new paragraph.

If you prefer enter to act as shift+enter e.g. no paragraph break:

Tools > Options > Composition > General tab:
Uncheck: "Use Paragraph format instead of Body Text by default"

and it should work.
