E-Mail Word

Hi when I e-mail a word doc to my friend she can't open it she says there is a Adobe logo on the attachment line how can she change it to open into word. The drop down box doesn't show Word on even though it is installed
I use Outlook Express with XP she is on Hot Mail on Vista if that makes any diference

What file type are you saving it as?
Are you using 2007? What version does she have?

we are both on word 2003 she is not trying to save it just to open it just an ordinary word page

Sounds like she needs to change the file association. See How To Set or Change File Associations in Windows 7 & Vista !

Are you sure the attachment you sent ends in .doc or .docx and not .pdf?
The Adobe logo seems to indicate it is a .pdf file.

Yes it ends in "doc"

Hi

Try what usafveteran posted and in the link the the second option thats listed in the guide of right click Open With > Choose Default Program and if not in the list click Broswe and locate Word (usually in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11)
