    ok i bought an ext hdd, and it has esata connection, as does my motherboard

    i bought this cable from amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000XJD56Y

    but it just doesnt seem to fit my motherboard which is a MSI P6N SLI platinum

    do i have the wrong cable or am i just not getting it in there, i admit im rather tired

    maybe you should try a little harder....? but not too hard, you wouldnt want to break anything (maybe you are trying to put the cable in upside down?)

    does the cable fit into the ext hdd but not the mobo? or does it not fit in either?
