So I OC'ed my C2D E6750 from 2.66 to 3.2Ghz and 1.6Ghz FSB lowed the RAM to 1Ghz under full load I dont get above 45C (113F) which is pretty good considering im using some crappy thermal paste with my Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro, anyways im wondering if any of you recommend what my voltage should be defualt i believe for my core is 1.25volts, I have it currently at 1.3volts, .05volt different now my question is should i try lowing the voltage,is 1.3volts going to damage my system (i doubt it though)
I have an Asus P5K Premium with 402 Beta BIOS

dont run the voltage higher than you need to. drop it down until its not stable then bump it up a notch and you're set. and by stable i mean 7+ hours of Orthos

I seem to be having a problem getting past 3.2Ghz (1.6Ghz FSB) i have lowered my RAM speed so that shoudlnt be an issue, there are alot of settings in the BIOS menu pretty much all except for voltage are on Auto

did you lower your ram frequency or was it the timings? also, tey messing with the ram voltages. drop the ram down a bit until its stable then up the frequency one notch. add voltage until its stable then keep on goin', just like you did with the processor. You will also want to loosen (raise) the RAM timings a bit then tighten them down once you reach the speed you want. What RAM is this by the way?

I have lowered the frequency from a default of 1066 to 1000 (when overclocked to 3.2Ghz) i havent adjusted the ram timings yet when i get back to my place I can give you more detailed infomation as for whas in my BIOS and what my settings are. My ram is: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148070

I know that at 1.2GHz my Ram auto adjusted its timing to 5-7-7-17 i believe which is rather high.

well seeing as stock timings are at 5-5-5-15, i would say they are close, if not still too low. Ive had VERY good experience OCing Crucial ram, my ballistix ddr400 runs great at ddr533 2.5-4-4-7 with only a mild bump in voltages. Also, i wouldnt set it to auto. mess with the timings yourself, dont let it pick for you, especially when it comes to voltages

Also, when you're raising your FSB you are OCing your memory too. It may be set to 1000 but it's probably running MUCH higher. Check it in Everest. You may need to set it quite a bit lower to get it to settle at 1066 that the memory is rated at.

No when i change overlocking i can change the speed of my ram default settings i can play with are 667,800,835,1002,1066,1111,1332, also when i OC and lower my ram to 1000 CPUz shows my ram running at 500 for each stick so i know its running at 1ghz anyways i have the following options:
I wisht here was a way to copy and paste this lol.
    AI overclocking: (manual)
    CPU Ratio control (manual)
    Ratio CMOS Setting (8) (multiplier)
FSB Strap to North Bridge (Auto) I dont know what this is it can run at 200,266,333 can someone explain that to me
    FSB Frequency (333 Default, OC=400 for 3.2Ghz)
    PCIE Frequency (Auto)
DRAM Frequency (Default 1066, OC=1000, also OC=1200MHz 5-7-7-24 auto selected) 2T Command Rate
DRAM Command Rate (Auto) (options of 1T or 2T)
DRAM Timing Control (Auto) (manual opens ram timings default 5-5-5-15)
along with RAS# to RAS# Delay (Auto)
    Row Refresh Cycle (auto)
    Write Recovery time (Auto)
    Write to read delay (auto)
    read to precharge time (auto)
*Note I havent changed the RAM settings myself im not sure what to touch*
DRAM Static read control (auto) (options of auto disabled or enabled) (not sure what this is either)

Transaction Booter (auto) (options Auto, disabled, enabled) I dont know what this is if i enable it i can choose boost level 0-3
Clock Over-Charging Mode (Auto) (options 0.70V,0.80V,0.90V,1.00V)
CPU Spread Spectrum (Auto) (options Auto,Disabled)
PCIE Spread Spectrum (Auto) (options Auto,Disabled)

CPU Voltage (Auto) well .0125 control from 1.1000V to 1.7000V (OC=1.3000V)
CPU Voltage Reference (Auto) (0.63x,0.61x,0.59x,0.57x) (I dont know what this is either lol)
CPU Voltage Damper (Auto) (options Auto,Disabled,Enabled)
CPU PLL Voltage (Auto) (options of 1.50V-2.2V at .10 incriments)
    DRAM Voltage (Auto) (1.80-2.50 @ .05incriments)
FSB Termination Voltage (Auto) (1.20V,1.30V,1.40V,1.50V) ( I heard i should set this to max but i havent changed it.
    North Bridge Voltage (Auto) (1.25V,1.40V,1.55V,1.70V,1.80V,1.95V)
North Bridge Voltage Refrence (Auto) (0.67x,0.61x)
    South Bridge Voltage (Auto) (1.05V,1.20V)

Thats all my settings i can configure took awhile to type so i would greatly appriciate feedback

    Sorry for the long post.

I ran Orthos (blend test) for testing at 3.2Ghz 1.3V and 1.2Ghz for RAM i got an error 8 minutes and 48 seconds into the operation. Attached is the file.

So something is not working with my overclocking what settings should i try and change?
(the text file says 333x8 but the application says 3.2ghz, everest 3.2ghz, cpu-z 3.2ghz. and my RAM is higher then normal running at 1.2Ghz

Forgot to mention with my RAM at 1GHz my timing is 5-5-5-18 and 2T i was runing at 1.2ghz RAM lowered it to 1GHz running the Orthos test again so far its been running longer then my pervious tests (which is strange because it generated a CPU error not a RAM error but changed the RAM speed seemed ot help)

i'll run it for awhile and post an update.
