Earthlink networking not free

    Signed up with earhtlink dsl. Sent me their dsl modem for free. In order to network with my iMac laptop or any other pc, I have to pay another $9.95/month on top of my regular service. Is there a way to get around this? If not, do I need to drop earthlink? I feel networking should be free of charge!

    yeah, i have earthlink adsl, and an 8 port belkin router. works great, plus no extra cost. id advise you to get a new dsl modem though, the ones you get from them are prone to overheating.
